The IDS Globalisation Team is examining changes in globalisation arising from the increasing
importance of new, dynamic economies, particularly in Asia, and the multiple crises that are presenting new challenges for global stability and global governance. To pursue further this agenda, the team seeks to recruit a new Fellow with research experience and expertise in low carbon innovation.
The team wishes to extend its capacity to work on low carbon innovation, particularly as it relates to how businesses in developed and emerging economies develop value chain linkages as part of their innovation strategies. This new research will focus on the connection between business capabilities and networks, on the one hand and public policy with respect to issues such as intellectual property rights, technology transfer and incentives for low carbon development, on the other.
The person appointed should possess:
a PhD and extensive research experience evidenced by a strong publications record
experience of open innovation and inter-firm innovation linkages.
Salary range: £32,528 - £51,070 per annum (depending on experience)
Closing date: 6 April 2010 (12 midday UK time)
Phone interviews: 27 and 29 April 2010
Interview dates at IDS: 20 and 21 May 2010
