A research assistant is required to work with
Professor John Humphrey within the IDS Globalisation Team on a project on private standards and agri-food trade in Europe and North America. The work is based at IDS and will involve desk research on the comparative development of private standards regimes.
The candidate should have some familiarity with the literature on private standards as they apply in the agri-food business and/or a knowledge of the agri-food business, including the role of processors, supermarkets and food service businesses.
Start date: 7 April 2010
Closing date: 17 March 2010 at midday UK time
