International Labour Office Africa Job Vacancies : Senior Programme Officer, NOB- (Ref; SPO-SNAP)


The International Labour Office (ILO) –International Programme on the Elimination of Child Labour (IPEC) will be implementing a project of support to the National Action Plan (NAP) and will support the Government 
and the social partners to eliminate the worst forms of child labour by 2015, through an integrated area based approach.

We need experienced and committed professionals to fill the following vacancies.


Senior Programme Officer, NOB- (Ref; SPO-SNAP)

The SPO will report to NPM and will implement the project under umbrella of the Kenya Decent Work Country Programme and closely work together with other ILO projects and stakeholders to implement the project through an Integrated Area Based Approach.

His/ her duties will include;
# Monitoring project implementation and prepare periodic progress reports
# Provide ongoing technical guidance and administrative assistance to the implementing agencies
# Evaluate progress of IPEC projects and project Action Programmes
# Ensure relevance and coherence of project activities within the overall ILO Decent Work Country Programme for Kenya.

Qualifications:
# University degree in education or related fields.
# Training/experience on youth employment would be an added asset
# At least five years of work experience
# Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Programme Officer Monitoring& Evaluation, NOA: (Ref; POM&E-SNAP) The Programme Officer M&E will report directly to the NPM and his/her duties will include:

# Monitoring project implementations and prepare periodic progress reports
# Design and maintain databases and other data storage systems for use by IPEC projects and partners in Kenya
# Evaluate progress of IPEC project Action Programmes by reviewing, verifying and analyzing work-plans, progress reports, financial reports and other data for clarity, consistency and completeness and conduct field missions periodically.

Qualifications:
# At least 3 years of work experience of project monitoring and evaluation and programme/project implementation in the field of labour, education, child rights, youth employment, applied research or social work
# Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
# Ability to organize and meet deadlines.
